I'm unable to book reservations thru Trenitalia online. I also called directly.I was advised that international credit cards are not processing on their system. Their prices are much more reasonable than Raileurope and Eurorailways. Suggestions on waiting to book when I arrive in Italy or book now on the other sites. Thanks

Hi Tim, Thanks for your reply. I'll be arriving Venice 2/3/08 and hope to catch the overnight train 2/10/08.

The Trenitalia site can be problematic, particularly when it comes to registering, which you must do before booking. When are you taking this trip? If time allows, I'd suggest trying to book again tomorrow. The site may be working by then.
How many days will you be in Italy before going to Paris? If it's a fair number, you could wait until the day you arrive in Italy and book the Florence-Paris night train at any Trenitalia station. It would be best to do it as soon as you arrive.
