Overnight Train from Barcelona to Paris- Where to Store Luggage?

Hello, my fiance and I arrive back from our cruise in Barcelona on Saturday morning. We will be in Barcelona for the day and then leave on the overnight train to Paris Saturday night. We would like to hang out in Barcelona for the day without our luggage. Any suggestions on where to store our luggage that would be safe? Thanks!

Bag check at the train station? I assume Barcelona has one and your guidebook should say where it is.
