I tried to book an overnight train from Barcelona to Granada in March through RENFE. When I look up the schedule, it shows a train and the overnight options, but when click on the shopping cart to purchase, it says that no trains have been found. Can you help? Thanks.

You get ticket in person when u arrive in Barcelona. I took this train in reverse direction a few years ago. March is not high season, so u can book in 2 to 3 days in advance.

When are you going? If after March 22' they may not be selling tickets yet. They should appear 62 days ahead. You can often get good discounts on the night train by buying in advance. Edit:OK, I just checked, and they are selling tickets for dates up through March 22, but not later. Estrella fares are available.

Tinas Have you considered discount airlines for your trip? Check www.skyscanner.com. They have frequent flights, take about 1 hour, and cost about $100-$125 (at least last spring). Barcelona and Granada airports are relatively close to their cities so you don't spend a lot of time getting there. Taking a flight saves you lots of time and maybe money as well. Note: Read the fine print for the discount airline flights or your flight might end up costing a lot more! Stiff restrictions on luggage count, size, and weight. And everything costs extra! But can be a great deal. Bobbie
