We had planned to leave Alassio, Italy on the train to Nice to catch a flight. Now the airline has changed the time of the flight to two hours earlier. What is the normal time that one should get to an Easy Jet counter to check in (with no checked luggage?) I am a bit concerned about the train being on time (the only one we can take is at 7am), get to Nice St-Augustin station (sounds like an hour walk to airport) and fly out at 11:20. The train from Alassio takes 2 hours. We are staying there with friends. I would ask them to drive us but I have heard that rush hour traffic is horrendous. Help!

You'll get into Nice at 9:00-ish, then walk an hour to the airport for your 11:30 flight? That's cutting it a little close. I'm sure there must be public transport of some kind between the train station and the airport, or you could take a taxi. You'd be better off getting there some faster way than walking, since your flight time is close.

I believe bus Number 23 goes from St. Augustin to the Airport and costs 1 Euro. You might want to double check this information and find out how long it takes.

Frank II is right about bus #23. See this page on the Nice airport site for the details.
If you have hand luggage only, you can check in online up to 60 days in advance of your flight, but not less than two hours before your departure time. At the airport check-in closes 40 minutes before departure.
