We are taking the train from Stockholm to Hudiksvall in a few weeks. I haven't had any luck making reservations online. No luck. Here is what I tried: First, I thought I should wait for the less than 30 days window. No luck. Second, I followed my Swedish cousin's suggestion and booked two trips separately. Didn't work either. Third, I thought is was my credit card company blocking the transaction - nope. I am pretty sure we could wait and get the tickets in Stockholm but I didn't realize making these reservations would be a hassle. Any help is appreciated!

Your credit card might not be blocking it, but the Swedish website might be. I wasn't able to make ferry reservations online because of the their website blocking my card. Try calling and making the reservation in person.

Beth, Is there any possibility your Swedish cousin could make the reservations for you, as that will be far easier than doing it online (especially as you're having problems). He/she can simply go to the nearest station and buy the tickets there, and you could reimburse for the cost when you arrive there. Good luck!
