Has anyone purchased online tickets at the Austrian Rail website (www.oebb.at)? The website is vague on the process once you get to the train station. It seems that you need to present your online ticket and your credit card. What I'm worried about is weather you need a chip embedded credit card. I've emailed OBB this question, but haven't received a reply. Thanks

After reading the German language explanation on the ÖBB website, it looks like the process is identical to the process with the Bahn. I bought Sparpreis tickets with the Bahn and printed them at home from a pdf file they sent me. The online ticket has a square "barcode" on it, the last four digits of the credit card I used, and my name. On the train, the conductor scanned the bar code, then looked at my credit card to see that the number and name matched what was on the ticket. He didn't use the magnetic strip or the chip.
Many thanks Lee
