Has anyone had any experience, good or bad with booking tickets on Cheapo Air? One way tickets are usually ridiculous and their prices sound too good to be true.
Any other suggestions?

You can always book a round trip and throw away the back half. Supposedly there is a risk to that -- in theory if the airline learns that have done that they could charge you for the one way fare. But have never heard or seen a posting from anyone who has had that happen.
