One hour and a half enough time to change airlines at CDG?

We would be arriving on Croatia Airlines flight from Dubrovnik at terminal 2B I believe at 10:30 and departing on USAirways at terminal 2F at 12 Noon. Is this enough time? Flights are ticketed separately. If we check a bag we would have to claim it and recheck it. Is there time for this or should we plan on only carryon?

Ed: I don't know the exact answer to your question. But since no one else has answered, what I've read is: if the two airlines are NOT in an alliance or some kind of ticket sharing arrangement, that makes checked baggage more of a problem than otherwise. What that sounds like, to me, is that you might want to assume a worst case scenario: that your Croatia Airlines flight is late and you have to go claim a checked bag and recheck it, and would run out of time, with bad consequences. So yes, this would be the time for you to plan on only carry-on, if you have that flexibility, to minimize the downside risk of missing your outbound flight.

No, not enough time - especially with checked luggage.

Ed, Have you checked with US Air and/or CA to see if they have a baggage agreement? If they do have an agreement, you can still check your bags all they way to Dubrovnik, even if you're ticketed separately.
CA and US Air are both members of the Star Alliance, so there is a good chance they have an agreement. If so, 1.5 hours should be enough time for the connection.

I agree with Kent. I would want more than an hour and a half given that these two airlines are different national carriers. What are the chances that the Croatian flight will be late?

The baggage is really not an issue here - since both are part of Star alliance you will be able to check it through even though using separate tickets. Even if the baggage mis-connects, it will end up being delivered to your home (I'm assuming based on your post that you are returning to the US). US customs won't bother with it either.

The main point is what is the minimum connecting time at CDG and what alternatives will you have if you miss the US flight. Since you are on a separate tickets, if you miss the US flight you may have to wait till the next day and/or pay a change fee, etc.
