On voyages-sncf.com does 'First Class Double' mean private sleeper for 2?

Hello,
The '90 days in advance' date is approaching when I will be purchasing tickets on voyages-sncf.com for 2 adults to travel from Paris to Florence on the Artesia Palatino train. My husband and I want to book a private sleeper car in 1st class just for the 2 of us. However, the wording on the sncf website is a bit confusing (since it doesn't use the term 'sleeper car') so I want to make sure I book the right thing! Under First Class I think I need to choose 'double' instead of 'couchette' or 'single.' When I do this in my mock-ticket-buying-trials it tells me "you will be split b/t several compartments exclusively reserved for you." I'm assuming this means we'll have a private sleeper car for the 2 of us. Is this correct? Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes, you need to choose "double." A 1st class couchette has bunks for four people so you would be sharing space with strangers. If you choose "single," you would need to book two of them, you wouldn't be together, and you would pay a very high fare.
