Oh come on, Delta, don't kid a kidder.

I will admit to being a Delta snob. I'm happiest with them in comparison to other airlines, at least the ones I've flown. Also, I'll note that my adult daughter has flown Delta, Southwest, Alaskan, Hawaiian,Luftansia, United all in the last four/five months. I asked her what airline is best and she didn't even pause a moment. Delta.

I can't find confirmation on the web, but I heard on the news last night that to provide "variety" Delta is replacing the Sun Chips with pretzels. Unless we are talking the pretzels in Germany, I don't even understand why people would bother eating plain pretzels. I look forward to Sun Chips on my flights. I mean I can't keep them in my house because someone would eat the whole bag in one sitting.

But, come on, Delta, we all know you got a better deal on the pretzels.

Jules, I'm not big on salty snacks (I always get the Biscoff), but I remember when all you would get from Delta were pretzels and the cookies. Maybe some nuts occasionally. Anyway, here is what Delta has now (per their website): https://www.delta.com/us/en/onboard/food-and-beverage/flight-fuel-menu

You should take advantage of their deal right now where you can get a premium snack if you are a SM member. I've done that the last couple of flights I've taken.

ETA: You might enjoy this Reddit post about it. https://www.reddit.com/r/delta/s/E9AG0j06es. I thought it was funny and most of them feel like you. 😊

But...but...but...who needs Sunchips when there's BISCOFF???
My favorite part of a Delta flight!

Oh goodness, pretzels? As you say, those had better be some tasty pretzels.

I do look forward to specific airline snacks. On United it's the chocolate quinoa crisps. I don't even know what United's other two choices are!!

Love me some Nerd Clusters! They were giving them for a while if passenger logged onto the wifi. But, then when I went to Hawaii in March, they were telling me that the premium snacks weren't stocked for the overnight flights. Aargh. Thought about those Nerds all day!

I despise Cheez its! They taste fake.

Ha ha, CW, they're not—just plain old Rold Gold pretzels. Now if they were Dot's pretzels or Snyder's Honey Mustard and Onion pretzels, that would be a plus!

Or even the Aldi Honey Mustard. . .

Someone on the Reddit thread suggested buying a large bag of individual bags of Sun Chips at Costco and then handing them out on the plane!

I do love me some Cheezits.

Sorry to say Jules but the disappearance of Sun chips doesn't bother me at all hahahahaha

Will be on Delta on Friday and Sunday....

I understand the rationale why peanuts are no longer an option on flights but dang I miss them.

If I can get them without paying, I will occasionally request Pringles from the premium snack collection, but have no desire for Sun Chips, Cheetos or pretzels.

My favorite combo is the Bloody Mary mix (sans alcohol) with Biscoff cookies. That sweet and savory taste gets me every time.

I have to say that I am not a Sun Chips fan, but my kid loved the new Cheez-Its (sp?) we got last month. We are about to take 2 flights later this week on Delta (one domestic one international) and I'll report back on the offerings.
I got sick of Biscoff to be honest. I must say, I prefer pretzels than chips. Bring a travel Nutella pack and that makes the best snack!

Denny, Grippos were the only pretzels and potato chips my dad would buy. He loved Grippos, and we ate a lot of them as kids living outside Cincinnati.

Jules, my favorite Sun Chips option is gone? Ahhh!

I can’t remember how Delta worded it a few years ago, but eliminating handing out even the option of water or OJ on the flights between Seattle & Spokane was spun as an advantage for the travelers. Ha!

Being one of the few east coasters here, I never heard of Grippos snacks. I am intrigued through.

Barbara, I haven't heard of Grippos either, and I've lived in the Midwest my whole life.

Grippos are an Ohio thing and are based in Cincinnati. I always buy some when I go back home for a visit.

IMHO, as another Delta snob, Garden Salsa Sun Chips are much better than Pretzels.

When I flew Delta Premium Economy from Seattle to Paris, as a welcoming gift, I was given a small, black box filled with some kind of allegedly-cheddar crackers (from Portland, no less) right after take-off.

They were horrible beyond description, but I'll try anyway:

Imagine deep-fried salty cheddar oil congealed into a doughy clump. Imagine not being able to get the taste of that out of your mouth for half the flight.

Honestly, I like airline pretzels: they give me a reason to order another Jack-and-Coke so I can wash them down.

Got that right, Dave. 👍

Plain pretzels are merely a vehicle. Dips, Beer cheese spread, sliced cheese, etc. Plain pretzels are sadness. And the silly little bag of almonds are empty just about when they're opened.

@Mike, once when I was upgraded I got those cheesy crackers things. I wanted to exchange them for sun chips. Horrid, I'd love to find someone that likes them.

@Mardee, I love my Bloody Marys sans the mix. Clearly the best in flight drink is Bombay Sapphire and tonic. I may need to start bringing my own lime.

Enjoying my pretzels as I type this. Actually same brand we buy at home. I also brought a little Nutella pack. No Sun Chips.
Kid is enjoying her Cheeze-its. 😝
We are in Comfort+ so got a new granola bar that is yummy. Sad they didn’t have the chocolate/cookie bar. (First world problem for sure).
