Of course Tampa Airport loves their pajama wearing airline customers. Comfort is important. https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.com/amp/Business/wireStory/tampa-international-airport-shares-ban-pajamas-joke-airport-130544519
Personally, I’d like to see fewer plaid flannel pants and baggy tees or sweatshirts everywhere.. It’s hard to take someone seriously when they can’t bother to dress to be out in public. Call me and old f+*%.
I dont disagree. I would say more but I'm not in the mood for the fallout if I do.
I live in Tampa and follow the airport’s Facebook page. So I’m used to their humorous posts and enjoy them. I think it’s hilarious that some proper news outlets took it for fact. I imagine if they had read the comments or researched the Facebook page for 5 minutes, they would have figured out it was satire.
I love Tampa International airport, it’s one of the best mid-sized airports in the country. Now, if they would only get more direct flights to Europe, that would be wonderful!
I'm with Laurel. You can certainly dress for comfort without looking like you just rolled out of bed.
Kathy, I'm not surprised that some took it for fact. Not long ago we had several posters here outraged on a similar topic.
"Underwear as Outerwear" has been around for quite a while. Pajamas? [shrug]

Society often portrays the public in underwear as surrealist and comedic: No Pants Day is an annual event held in various Western countries, where people publicly wear only underwear and leave their legs exposed. No Pants Subway Ride is a similar event to promote public wearing of underwear on subway trains. Another such event is Undie Run, where people run on the street wearing only their underwear.
edit: On the same page it mentioned how "T-shirts" used to be strictly underwear. Then movies (40s? 50s?) with James Dean and Marlon Brando wearing them as outerwear changed how they were worn.
This one was easy to take as fact. Not allowing people to show up for flights in pajamas shouldnt need to be a rule, but isnt an unbeliveable rule if it did exist.
What I thought was the joke was that people were outraged they couldnt wear their pajamas on the fight.

Not surprising, I see people wearing pajamas in grocery stores and such all the time.
