Just a reminder to keep an eye on your itinerary. Five of us are going on this trip from 3 different locations and have had schedule changes made that won't work! For example Northwest had me flying out of AMS before my flight from CDG arrived in AMS (all other flights are full so we're taking trains the day before)and late last night I discovered that my husband only had 25 minutes in transit in SEA! He's a fast walker but not that fast!
Thanks for the heads up. I noticed on our return that we only have 45 minutes in SLC, but that is definately do-able. Our luggage might not make it, but they'll deliver it to our local airport which is close-by. All of our other connections give us time.
Heck, United went and dropped the Denver-Munich route that I'd booked a few months prior using my FF miles. I found this out by reading an article in the newspaper.
I called United and they said they had no idea about the drop in route, I told them about the article.
Well, numerous phone calls later and with a lot of stress, I got my flight route changed. I have a scheduled and paid for tour, I have to get to my destination the day I need.
Watch your flights - as airlines cut back due to the economy, your route could go away. It's happening monthly. If you plan way ahead as I do, it's really important to check frequently so you don't loose your seats/routing/connections!
