Is there a bus from Nurnberg to Rothenburg? Or is it just easier to take the train? Taxi too expensive????

Train is you best method. Even though it involves three transfers it's not as bad as it sounds. Rothenburg is about 60 miles from Nurnberg, but it's still in the same transport region, so when you buy your ticket they will be selling you a regional day/weekend pass which will also cover municipal transport in Nurnberg or any other city in the region.

Transport in and around Nürnberg is run by Verkehrsverbund großraum Nürnberg. Their website is at www.vgn.de and can be switched to read in English.
