Find schedules on the German Rail (Bahn) website. You'll probaby find that the fastest way (2½ hrs) is through Munich, on express trains (ICE/IC/EC). If you specify "local trains only" you'll find that the cheapest way is by regional trains with a Bayern-Ticket (26€ for 2P), 4½ hrs.
