Norwegian vs. SAS vs. Czech Airlines

It seems that some airlines have gotten bad reviews, so just wondering if we have the choice between Norwegian and SAS and Czech airlines, with SAS being a bit higher, is there a reason to go with one airlines or the other?

Thanks for any travel experience with these airlines.

SAS has served me well for the few times flown and will happily fly again. Norwegian Air appears to be struggling financially....risky?

I've taken all 3; SAS was my go to legacy airline until Norwegian came on the scene offering lower prices. If Norwegian does not make it here in the USA, I will go back to SAS. Czech Air I only flew once London to Prague nothing good or bad memorable happened on the short flight.

We, and many friends, love Norwegian. Not just for the low price, but if you’re flying internationally the Dreamliner plane is truly a dream, even in economy.
Much more legroom, much more fresh air pumped in, higher cabin pressure, natural lighting... all helps a lot w jet lag, and they have bigger windows, large overhead bins and much more head room.

SAS is one of the most punctual airlines in Europe, Norwegian is one of the least punctual. So unless the price difference is huge, I'd book SAS. They will also offer a slightly better service, and my personal experience is that they will take better care of you if things go wrong. And their new A320neos are great in my opinion.

Since you mention Czech airline I assume it is a flight within Europe.

With their precarious financial situation, I'd avoid Norweigan for the time being. There was a report posted elsewhere n this forum that they have about a week to get their financial matters stabilized (i.e., investors with cash). Can't find the link, however. Where are you travelling from/to?

We are traveling from Stockholm to Prague, then later from Krakow to Tallinn, and then from Tallinn to Stockholm.
Thanks.

I second everything Susan said above. Between the price and the plane nothing else comes close - as long as they are going where you want to go. I've read a lot of articles about their recent financial troubles since I have another flight scheduled with them next month and it doesn't sound like they will be going out of business (someone suggested it was 'risky') just that they may need to slow down their expansion plans.

They claim that the dreamliner has different pressurization and lighting to help alleviate jet lag and I believe them. I don't have a terrible problem in general with jet lag but with the Norwegian dreamliner it is noticeably less.

Considering it's an intra-European flight, the benefits of the Dreamliner are really not relevant. And when it comes to legroom, flag carriers like Czech Airlines and SAS will give you more legroom.

Badger, As i said in my 1st post...
“if you’re flying international”.
The OP had not given that info originally.

It is relevant information for other people that read this thread.
The info in threads benefits many people, not just the OP.

Correction for Badger’s benefit:
IF you are on a Dreamliner.

Norwegian's financial (cash flow) situation and being streached on equipment availability gave me pause in choosing between Norwegian and SAS.

Some of Norwegian's route seem to be scheduled at less than a flight each day of the week. If you flight doesn't go and Norwegian is flying at close to 100% capacity and doesn't have spare aircraft.... Apparently the Norwegian aircraft that was/is stuck in Iran has disrupted schedules that counted on the availability of that aircraft.

Most of the complaints filed with the commission
(Transportklage-nemnda for flyreiser) involved flight delays and
cancellations. It also emerged that more than one in four of Norwegian
Air’s flights do not operate in accordance with published schedules.
Most of the delays and cancellations involve Norwegian Air’s
international flights: Its domestic service within Norway operated
with a better on-time record, according to the statistics reported by
DN.
