Norwegian Air Stewart to Edinburgh

Hey all,
Getting to be less than a week to our flight from Stewart International Airport to Edinburgh and I had some questions pop up that online searches and Norwegian's own site couldn't really answer.
This will be our first time flying Norwegian and I've heard mostly good things, with a few bad things too here and there. Anyway, here's a few questions I have:

1: Is the Dreamliner from Stewart International Airport to Edinburgh the newer 787 or one of the older models?

2: What kind of entertainment can I expect on board?

3: Will this plane model have a usb charging port? I ask this because it seems the new 787 does, but I can't seem to pin down what this plane will be!

4: I'm already aware that this is a budget airline and will have budget feelings all around, but is there anything else I should expect that others were surprised by?

Thanks in advance for any answers from those that have flown this route before!

Getting rid of those pre-flight jitters,
-S

You can go to Seatguru.com, plug in Norwegian with date and flight # and get information about the physical plane.

Most of your questions are directly conditional on your specific flight. If you can't find a satisfactory answer on the Norwegian website, phone them. I will add, having flown Norwegian quite often....if you are on a "Dreamliner".... those planes are a bit chilly....have a sweater at the ready.

The plane is going to be a 737 but I believe Norwegian flies the new 737 Max.

We are flying back from Dublin in a few weeks.. I received an email saying I should bring a fully charged tablet on board with headphones. That tells me we will be on one of Norwegian's brand new Boeing 787 Max airplanes and they don't have the fine audio visual systems their 787s have. Thankfully the rights to the East Coast are just 7 hours. These new generation airplanes still retain a single aisle configuration with 3/3 seating. And I don't believe there is any isb charging port.
Oh, the things we do to save a buck. I will also be picnicking on our way back, but my food will beat airline food.
This will be our sixth flight on Norwegian Air Shuttle. I am so thankful to have budget airlines to provide good competition to the big legacy carriers that keep airfares where travelers can afford to travel.

Thanks for the replies!
So looks like the plane will be a 737 Max 8, but seatguru doesn't seem to have plane details for the Norwegian fleet. There are details for the AA version, but I seem to be getting conflicting information on if the interior amenities will be similar.
I'm mostly interested if the flight will have any power options and what kind of entertainment so we can plan ahead.
I'll probably try calling Norwegian too just to be sure.

I was surprised by the little attention by the flight attendants and the lack of food or drink. I had bought the package that included food and while I was served food, it was a one time thing on a long flight. I am used to legacy airlines which bring you snacks and and drinks throughout the day.

The good part is I had a great seat with lots of leg room.

The airport is almost in my backyard, and I have barley heard of it:) It's mostly used as an Air National Guard Base. I have the pleasure of seeing and hearing the giant C-5 Galaxy transport planes flying over my house a few times a week. The commercial side of the airport has struggled over the years and was down just a handful of domestic flights a day mostly to locations in Florida. The arrival of Norweigan has been a huge success, and a dedicated immigration hall will be constructed soon. According to local media reports most all of the passengers are Europeans who don't realize how far and inconvenient it is to reach NYC; right out of the page book of Ryanair. For me when you add up all the fee$ Norwiegan tacks on to their "cheap" base fare, flying out of Newark is still a better deal overall.

Not just Europeans who don't realize the inconvenience -- sometimes people in this forum ask about Stewart as a good option to travel to NYC.

I flew their Seattle-Gatwick flight last December on a 787 Dreamliner and noticed the same thing. It was an overnight flight (9 1/2 hours) and the flight attendants served a decent meal not long after our departure. Then about 3 hours or so into the flight they turned out the lights and disappeared behind the curtains into the galley. I don't sleep on planes and I noticed that periodically an attendant would appear with refreshments/snacks which were delivered to individual passengers. I looked through the entertainment center in the back of the seat in front of me and found a section where I was able to order snacks and refreshments, some for a fee and some for free, which were then delivered to my seat. Not to long before arrival they served a simple box breakfast.

I was impressed with Norwegian and have another flight with them scheduled in May.
