We're spending a few days in Western Ireland and are looking for a place in northwestern Ireland that we could reach by bus then hike and sightsee for 3 days without getting a car. We're more interested in exploring nature than in covering a lot of territory, but what would be a good base? We're considering Sligo, Donegal, etc. but don't know how far the towns are from nature. What's accessible and lovely? Thanks.
