I am checking on prices for flights from MCO to AMS and then a flight home from France or Germany to MCO using Delta points.
Googling led me to Norse Airlines and it gets decent reviews.
Has anyone flown on Norse Airlines across the pond?
Thanks for your help
I did last July. I wanted to fly to Gatwick to catch an unconnected flight to Sardinia. This was by far the simplest and least expensive option. I would do again if I was in same position but would otherwise not be my choice unless significantly cheaper. Here are my observations;
- Flights were on time.
- Going to England the seats did not recline. I had 3 seats so not a big deal. Coming back they did and I would have been happier if they did not since I was trying to use my lap top. I am not sure how you can tell. There weren’t many empty seats on return snd I had someone next to me.
- Everything is a la carte. I paid to carry luggage on and food for way back. My flight left at 10:30 pm and I did not want dinner at that hour and I decided to eat breakfast at gatwick, since I had a five hour layover. The food is actually really good-best airplane food I have ever had.
- You don’t get a pillow or a blanket. I bought a blanket for like $5 because I was freezing. I travel with a blow up pillow but still missed the one you usually get.
- You can’t check in online and in Gatwick it was a mess. They let you check in one flight at a time so had to wait until flight scheduled before ours was checked in to even get in the line. There was a shorter line for priority check in but I had not purchased that. But I would consider doing that.
It was the mess at Gatwick but even more the nonreclining seats on over night flight that would give me pause.
