We were planning on visiting Rouen-Honfleur-Bayeux-MSM via car (in that order), but our plans have changed since we won't have a car after all. I (the trip planner) need some help figuring this trip out via trains/buses. I was doing well until I had an accident a few days ago (mild concussion); my brain is muddled. Because of the change in transportation, we think it best to start at MSM (overnight there or St. Malo) and work our way eastward (Bayeux, Honfleur, back to Paris via Rouen). We want to attend vespers service at MSM on Friday at 18h30 (that is pretty much dictating our itinerary). So, we are taking a morning train from Paris to Rennes and from there, we plan to take a bus directly to MSM. We understand there is an express regional bus (1h20) to MSM. Can we buy this bus ticket when we buy the train tickets? I went to the SNCF website and the trip Paris-MSM (via Rennes) includes a departure from Rennes to MSM via "autocar." Is this the bus portion? Is the above route preferred than taking the train to Pontorson and then the short bus ride to MSM? Is the Pontorson a stop on the same Paris-Rennes line? I'll post the rest of my questions separately. Many thanks.
