Non-Sunday train between Rome and Pompeii Scavi?

We will be traveling to Rome soon and want to take a day trip to Pompeii. I read the recommendations re taking a fast non-stop train on Sunday (Frecciarossa1000 9693), but when I checked, it didn't appear to be available on the Sunday that we'll be there.
Instead, I booked something that looked very similar, on a Friday:

(Frecciarossa 1503) Roma Termini (8:05AM Dep) -> Napoli Afragola (9:05AM Arr), then (FrecciaLink LK031) Napoli Afragola (9:26AM Dep) -> POMPEI SCAVI (10:01AM Arr).

Then the same route back in the evening.

It looks very comparable to the Sunday direct train, but no one is talking about it, so I'm concerned I'm missing something.
Will this get us to the right location? Am I missing anything?

Thank you.

Its possible no one is talking about it because the Freccialink is a bus service, not a train. Most people doing a day trip from Rome to Pompeii take the Freccia to Napoli Centrale, then the Circumvesuviana train to the Pompei Scavi station. The Circumvesuviana is a local commuter train. You just buy your ticket at the station, which is on the lower level under Centrale. Either way will get you there.

What date are you looking to travel? There is a no-changes train at 8:53 from Roma Termini to the Pompei FS station (note the single i) on Sundays. That station is not the Pompei Scavi-Villa dei Misteri Circumvesuviana station that's right in front of the scavi; it's about a mile away. Visitors are shuttled from Pompei station to the scavi by autobus or you can walk it .

Total journey time is 2 hrs, 12 minutes if using the autolink bus.

If you're interested in the direct train mentioned above, using the Amphitheater (Piazza Immacolata) entrance, the Pompei FS station is actually pretty close to that entrance to the archelogical site, about half a mile.

Thanks for the replies.
I am traveling on Friday. I tried for Sunday but there was no availability.
My question is really to make sure that the option I did book (see the train numbers and times) would work, and would it deliver me to the same location as the Sunday train/bus combo?

I guess, to add to that question: the 9:05AM arrival to Napoli Afragola and 9:25AM Departure -- is that enough time?
I already purchased the tickets, and they are digital, on my phone. So is there anything else I need to know, like something special to validate them for the 2nd part of that trip (Napoli -> Pompei Scavi)?

Thanks!

The main exit at Napoli Afragola station is 300 meters away from the tracks, zoom in on google maps and you'll see it.

Pompei Scavi is... Pompei Scavi, the main entrance to the excavations where licensed guides wait for customers. Even on Sundays there are no direct trains from Rome to Pompei Scavi, you'd simply get off the train at the modern Pompei station and not at Napoli Afragola (that, incidentally, is a masterpiece by the late Zaha Aadid).

All Electronic tickets are train specific, so a time-stamp would be quite pointless.
