No more Thalys trains (soon).

The merger of Eurostar and Thalys last year is now taking the next step. On a press conference today it was announced that the Thalys brand will disappear and all their trains will be rebranded as Eurostar, which is expected to be complete by the end of the year. A new logo was also revealed.

In addition it was also announced that they plan to increase the frequency between London and Amsterdam from four to five daily trains in each direction starting next year.

They also noted how many hundreds of seats are empty on every train between London and Amsterdam - the train capacity is there, but not the ability of the UK authorities to process that many entries that frequently /within those time spans.

It probably will…

So I thought it might be a good idea to mention it on the forum.

Thank you Badger.
It will be less confusing for those of us who read about here.

The many train vloggers will likely have videos up soon. A recent one showed how during ski season a fairly obscure station in the French Alps is clogged with brand name TGVs from all over Europe.

Those kinds of trains are not uncommon. During ski season, the small village Röjan (population: 11) in the Swedish mountains gets direct night trains from Stockholm and a couple of other major Swedish cities ( http://media.jamtlandsfjallen.se/2020/06/rojan.tag-destination-vemdalen-busstransfer.png )
