Please take this post as (somewhat) tongue in cheek. As I relaxed earlier today watching tv, I could not help but notice that at least one commercial during each commercial break (that is not an exaggeration) was for some law firm trolling for clients for the latest drug issue, hip implant issue, asbestos issue, etc. Given this, I'm actually a bit shocked that I've not yet seen a commercial that goes something like this: "Have you or someone you know recently flown to Europe or Asia and experienced leg cramps, a back ache, sore knees, and/or headaches? If so you may have been at risk for deep vein thrombosis and may be entitled to compensation from the airline that packed you in like a well-oiled sardine......." Again---tongue in cheek---but at the same time I am actually a bit surprised that some lawyer has not gone after this potentially lucrative lawsuit market! Hmmmmm, maybe I should copyright the above commercial---just in case!!!
your post is a joke, right? don't clutter up this board with random junk please.
I hope there are no personal injury attorneys on this board - you may planted a seed.
Errrr, note to Dave who responded to my post---did you miss the two "tongue in cheek" mentions? Given the wonderful sense of humor demonstrated by Rick Steves on his program, I'd most certainly argue that a post with humor is perfectly appropriate---and not junk. My post was intended as a humorous reminder of the increasingly cramped conditions on airlines today. As for the potential of a lawyer creating lawsuits pertaining to the health risks of flying in such conditions today, it would not shock me in the least!!
Re one of the posts above, here's a vote for Randall's post. Not junk at all, rather well written, I thought. It's actually okay to give everyone here a little break from the strict nuts & bolts Q's & A's. Responding to the OP, I've read somewhere that the personal injury lawyers of America have already thought of this. For some reason, it hasn't flown. Apparently, there are some limits, even in the US, to what you can be sued for.

Problem is, the airlines would have a solution. They'd just want you to pony up for business class.
