Night Trains in Eastern Europe

We will be following Rick's Eastern Europe itinerary in Sep/Oct and are curious about "night train" travel. Do these trains have beds or seats. Also is there any particular advantage other than time-saving. Is the scenery notable enough to want to travel during daylight rather than at night. Any help would be appreciated

Night trains have usually both, beds and seats (obviously in different carriages). The scenery is notable enough or not depending where you are traveling. If you never traveled by night train, try first before you commit. Some people have hard time to sleep because of a noise and motion.
