Is there an overnight train that runs between vienna and venice? This would fit well into our itenerary. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

There are night trains. Search on the Austrian Rail website, www.oebb.at. There is one night train connection, EN 237, all the way through to Venice S.L. leaving Vienna at 20:40, arriving Venice at 8:34.
