In trying to reserve a night train on the Deutsche Bahn website, I found a connection that works, but when I tried to book it, it said "fares not available." I wanted to use my Eurail Pass and just reserve it and pay the surcharge for a sleeper. But I saw nowhere a mention of my Eurail Pass (continuous, global) or how to do this. It's just under 3 months from now and I know the sleepers get booked. I purchased my pass from Rick Steves. How to proceed?

I sleep better in a bed that's not moving. I avoid night trains if at all possible.
Comments are often made on this forum about Salzburg/Munich trains to Venice at night. Let me just say you're going to be missing some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. It's a route best done during daylight.
