I am interested in taking a night train from Venice to Prague and then return 3-4 days later. Can you recommend a train service, know where I can get a schedule and price list? I will be in Italy for 3 weeks with a few extra days to see more (Prague or Croatia). Thanks.

Contrary to what you might believe based on Rick's CDs, night trains do not run from every town to every town. According to the German Rail website, there is a CNL night train from Venice to Munich or a EuroNight (EN) train from Venice to Vienna. From Munich, there is are several train options plus a new Express Bus to Prague at 12:29. From Vienna there is a EuroCity train to Prague at 14:18. Connections coming back do not seem as convenient.

Thanks for the info. I will check out these options. I go to Italy next month for the Christmas holidays. Very exicted as it is my first trip there!
