Night Train from Germany to Poland

Please refer to the question below and the answer from Polrail Services that follows:

Question:
If we hold a Germany/Benelux Rail Pass and a

Poland Pass, how can we use both passes to board
on the night train from Berlin to Gdansk while
the Poland Pass has not been validated?

Answer from Polrail:
The Polrail Pass that we sell is one that you
validate yourself, by entering your passport
number on the pass. So, this will work..

I wish to know if I can really validate the pass by my own?

In the Railpasses section on this site Rick gives this example: If you're traveling from Germany to France and you have a pass that is only good in France, have it validated at the station in Germany. I assume you could do the same for travel to Poland. But don't take my word for it. I suggest you click on the Rail Department link at the top of the Transportation page and ask Rick's staff for advice.

It's not a big deal getting your rail pass validated. I got my Eastern Europe rail pass validated by a rail agent in Frankfurt (July 2007). I was told I could not validate my railpass myself, but things may have changed.
