Night Train- City Night Line

Does anyone know what they serve for breakfast? Do the breakfast differ between the Economy and Deluxe cabins?

CNL's breakfast menu is here (page 7).

As to what they serve for free with a compartment reservation, I don't know. Maybe just the croissant and coffee, but I don't think you can expect bacon and eggs. ;o)

The link Lee posted is the menu at the dining car. If you travel first class (deluxe), they serve breakfast to you in your cabin; included in your ticket. I've traveled a few times in deluxe class and they served a simple continental breakfast: OJ, Tea/Coffee, Croissant, a few slices of ham/cheese, and yogurt. Also at the beginning of the journey you're given wine, and a snack.

Michael, was that breakfast you described on a CNL train, recently? I know breakfast is served in your compartment, but I would expect it comes from the dining car. I would not expect it to be more than they sell other travelers, just included in the fare and brought to you. I do notice that yogurt and orange juice are also on the menu, and it looks like they are included on the tray shown here. Looks like orange juice, coffee, yogurt(?), and a basket with rolls.

BTW, elsewhere on the website it says, "practical box breakfast (economy compartment) or substantial breakfast tray (deluxe compartment)" so I guess maybe the economy breakfast is like an airline snack.

My last journey on CNL was last September from Basel to Amsterdam; they use the double-decker cars on this route. The food delivered to the cabins comes from a small galley in each car...it's all prepackaged airline style grub, nuked in a microwave.
