Want to get from Nice to Rome without wasting a day of travel on a day train as the night train has been apparently discontinued!! Plane, Train, Automobile?? Suggestions? We were so looking forward to the night train!!! Thanks for any help I can get!!
Your one budget airline choice is blu-express. As with any budget airline, the sooner you book the better the fare.
Does this airline fly all the time? We will be in Nice the 31st of October and I don't see that available... is it too early? Thanks!!
It looks like you might be a week or two too early. I can see booking dates through 10/24 but not beyond. I would certainly watch the site every day to see when 10/31 becomes bookable.
The Blu Express idea from Tim does seem to be the best if I can get the date to become available. Some of the other flights out of there are 700 or 800 American Dollar which is more than I paid to get to Europe from Colorado, US!!! My search continues... thanks to all who are giving suggestions! I do appreciate it tremendously.
A car or train will waste a day.
Try the discount airlines. Look at thomasfly.com, europebyair.com, ryanair.com, vueling.com, airone.com, evolavia.com, applefares.com, opodo.co.uk.
Not all lines fly between those cities. Be prepared to spend some time searching.
Sharon, I suggest being patient and waiting for 10/31 to appear. Vueling flys out of Paris for Rome. Ryanair doesn't even fly into Rome. It flys into a small airport an hour away. Tim's post above is the best if you want to fly between Nice and Rome.
As a last-ditch approach, if Blu Express doesn't work out.....Air Berlin offers a flight on that Friday, via Dusseldorf, for 126 Euro....it takes seven hours all told.
