I will be taking the train from nice to monterosso on July 13 and have found a route on DB bah nsite-- nice to ventimiglia to genova to monterosso but can't figure out how to reserve seats. Any suggestions?

As you can see on the DB site, Nice to Ventimiglia will be on a regional train. For some departure times, both Ventimiglia-Genova and Genova-Monterosso would be on regional trains. For other departure times Ventimiglia-Genova and Genova-Monterosso would be on IC trains. Nice-Ventimiglia: Buy your ticket in Nice. There is open seating and no reservations are possible. Ventimiglia-Genova and Genova-Monterosso. SNCF won't sell you tickets for legs entirely within Italy so you'll have to buy your tickets in Ventimiglia. If you buy tickets for regional trains, again no reservations are possible. If you buy tickets for IC trains, seat reservations will come with the tickets and be included in the fare.
