We are travelling by car from Nice to Agers on June 28th. From what we've discovered online it seems to take aprox. 10 hours to drive. Not including stopping for meals, etc. So we are re-assessing things. We could stop somewhere aprox. 1/2 way overnight or take a train for part of the journey. The other thing that worries me is toll costs. any suggestions about these options, or where to stay would be appreciated. Jo
Nice to Angers by car is EUR 90 for road tolls and EUR 150 for gas, so EUR 240 in total. The natural stop over location either seems to by Lyon where you would have plenty of choices for hotels, motels etc. If you prefer a smaller city still with good options of IBIS hotels etc. continue until Saint Etienne.
