Nice, France to Sevilla, Spain?

What is the least expensive way to get from Nice, France to Sevilla Spain? Do we need to take a train back to Paris and then night train to Madrid? Would it be less expensive to fly to Nice to Sevilla?

Least expensive would probably be bus, but it would take AGES and who know how many different buses. If you really want to explore this, look at http://eurolines.com/en/ Train would still require multiple changes. For train routing, the easiest site to use is http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en. A quick look shows that Nice to Seville is 30 or more hours, with 4 to 6 changes. I don't care what this costs - I'm not doing it. These trains are not through Paris, but along the French coast. You can see the route by clicking the red arrow on the left of the run you're interested in. If you want to spend some time in Paris in between, your way is much nicer, as the train from Nice to Paris is less than 6 hours. If you want to price this route, look at http://www.tgv-europe.com/, choose Great Britain as your country and France as your ticket collection country, and do not allow yourself to be redirected to Rail Europe. For flights, look at http://www.skyscanner.com/. A quick look for the randomly chosen date of May 14, 2013 shows one-stop flights, on Vueling (a budget airline that gets good reviews on this Helpline) for $93 to $151, changing in Barcelona and taking four and a half to nine hours.

I would fly no matter the cost because by ground transportation is a very very long journey (like Forth Worth, TX to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to give you an idea). Also I'm not even sure it would be that cheap, when everything is factored in (like time, fatigue and meals on the road). You can fly Vueling, as mentioned above or Iberia (via Madrid). If Vueling is too expensive, also check RyanAir from Marseille. Ryanair has a daily non stop flight from Marseille to Seville and Ryanair is pretty cheap. From Nice you can reach Marseille in a couple of hours. If the train/bus to Marseille isn't too expensive you could do that (I'd go with Vueling from Nice though).
