What is the best/fastest way to travel from Nice, France to Florence, Italy? We are thinking train or possibly by bus~

Go to the DB website to see about train schedules. We took the train which was very scenic along the coast. Took about 6+ hours to get to Florence if I remember right. Don't know about the bus.
