Hello,
Air France is saying that we'll go through Customs in Paris although our flights are code share partners and bags are checked all the way through to Florence. Traveler reviews that I've read say that we won't go through customs until we get to Florence. Does anyone have recent experience?

You'll go through the Immigration (passport check) in Paris. Customs (which deals with the "stuff" you're bringing into the country) will be in Florence. After you check your bags at Newark Airport you won't see them again until your arrive in Florence.

Thanks very much Michael. Why oh why do the agents on Air France's 800 line keep insisting that we'll have to take our bags through Customs at CDG and then "just put them back on the belt"? It's VERY confusing.
