New York City- LaGuardia to Midtown hotel

Hi all,

I know this is not Europe but I do need some advice please.
I'm meeting up with my son at our hotel in Midtown in May. We will be traveling from two different locations.

My question is this: I'll arrive at LaGuardia in the morning- what is the best way to get to my hotel?

Thanks so much!

"Best" is subjective. Do you mean easiest? Do you mean cheapest?

Go to the Laguardia Airport website. Under the "menu" you will see a section "To and From LGA." Click on that and you will see your options.

Personally, I just take a taxi. It's easiest. Unfortunately, I believe all of the shuttle services are suspended due to Covid. Others might know for sure.

If you want to spend very little money, there are buses that connect to the subway (get a transfer) for $2.75. Either use exact change or get a Metrocard from an airport vending machine.
More money (less than $20) but also more convenient: goairlinkshuttle.com - book in advance online. Then, there are also cabs, Ubers, Lyfts…

We've done it twice. Once with limo service arranged by hotel. Second time by taxi from the queue. No issues either way.

I usually take a taxi from LaGuardia, easy, quick, the expense is worth it. One time I took a bus that goes to Manhattan and then took a subway from there. This was not hard, but I have travelled to NY often since my son lives there. You would have to decide on your comfort level doing this (and travel light!)

You can find info on how to take the bus on the LaGuardia website.

Yeah, I used the Blue shuttle and wished I hadn't! If you can possibly take a taxi, do so.
