Not on Malta - New Years Eve is a little more subdued. There are a few clubs around Sliema and St Julians but they are hardly raves.

If you want the rave scene it sounds like Ibiza is more your cup of tea.

Also 'E' is a big no-no on Malta, unlike Ibiza.

We were told when we were in Malta that St Juliens is "party central" and can get quite wild, if that's what you are looking for.

My daughter went to Malta this summer for 2 weeks and thought the same thing, that there would be lots of parties, etc. Especially in the St. Julian area. Did not seem to be the case though. She said it was ok, but nothing exciting. Malta is such a small place that it only takes a couple of days and you have seen it all. If you are looking for the big party scene, I think you might want to look elsewhere.
