United Airlines put forth their plans for Trans-Atlantic flights for next Summer. One new destination--Faro, Portugal, non-stop from Newark (or, "New York/Newark" as United still insists...) Other destinations already served have added frequencies, and some seasonal routes are scheduled to start earlier. Not all of these may actually come to pass, but these are their plans....

Thanks for the info. The earlier start from Chicago to Italy is interesting. This past March, I flew to Zurich and took the train to Italy. On the way home, I flew out of Rome with a connection in Zurich. If the nonstop had been available in April, I may have pushed my trip back a couple of weeks. Good to know for the future if the earlier start sticks.
