Needs to be checked out, for sure, especially if it goes over the pole.

The press thing I read didn't say seasonal so maybe it's year-round! Plenty of others within the same link I posted above said seasonal.

What I was really looking for when I found that info was whether Lufthansa is going to acquire Condor. I use Condor a lot and fly into Frankfurt and I like their prices more than the Lufthansa prices.

Flights from Seattle to Germany ( or most anywhere in Western Europe) go over Greenland, but not over the pole.

I wonder what kind of plane they will use? I think Lufthansa has some A340’s.

The Flight path Lufthansa shows right now from Seattle is just west of Hudson's Bay, over Greenland, over Iceland and lands in Munich. Pretty close to Polar or at least Arctic. I flew a similar route from Vancouver to London on mid Summer's night. It was daylight the whole way...we were so high we could see most of Hudson's Bay. It was really cool coming out of he clouds to see the red earth of Iceland.
