new Global Entry mobile app

I have never used the app. What advantage does it offer? Right now I walk down the aisle, am greeted by name by the agent, asked if I have anything to declare and am sent on my way. How could the app improve that?

Not all airports are the same. Seattle has the walk-thru. Most other airports don't.

The app allows GE members to bypass the facial recognition machines at some airports and go directly to the officer.

There won't be a new Global Entry app. There will be a new Trusted Traveler app that will include all the TT programs including GE.

Carol - when connecting at big hubs like ATL and JFK, the app does come handy to bypass the line for machines which can be long.

The new app will also be used to manage and renew GE card.

Thanks for the notice. Were traveling next week and i am glad we didn’t miss it.

The new Trusted Traveler app is now available. Well, at least on the Google Play Store. I have to guess it's also available in the Apple store as well.

It will replace the previous Trusted Traveler app and the Global Entry app.

According to the message I got after I downloaded, it says: "This app brings together the mobile services previously offered through the Global Entry and Trusted Traveler programs' mobile apps. All available in one convenient mobile app."

I guess I can remove those two apps now. That's good, I like having fewer apps on my phone, although I never seem to manage getting rid of too many of them, but I like it when I can. 😊

I just downloaded the app and reapplied for Global Entry.

Just so everyone is clear, Joy and Frank are both talking about the same app: the new Trusted Traveler App that will be replacing both the old TSA app and the Global Entry app. I was a little confused by some of the language here at first, so that's why I'm mentioning this now. I've already downloaded the new TTA on my iPhone.

Open the links on your phone, and you should be able to go straight to the App Store or Google Play to download it.

I am going to use this on my return into SFO..Now this is why I pay $125 for my GE! Im waiting in my seat and can clear myself!
