Flew into JFK today and the Global Entry has changed.
Passport inserted, take your photo, get your slip (no questions at machine), hand it to agent, asks a couple of questions, done.
I'm guessing facial recognition.

Probably right. I heard it's being tested in some major airports.
We joined this past summer , and at the interview , they indicated that would be the method .
The agent at Terminal 4 JFK typically just takes the receipt and doesn’t ask any questions — this has been my experience both walking on my own as well as in a wheelchair.
Same process at Boston Logan Airport. Coming home both in August and this past Saturday, the agent took the slip of paper. No questions asked.
Miami airport has this as well now but it would not work for me. I had to go through regular lines. No one else seemed to be have problems. I had no problem with global entry prior to this new system, including this past July.
Any ideas about what to do so doesn't happen again? Miami is the airport I usually fly into.
In Pittsburgh last week used the machines, the only questions asked were those on the entry card we were given on the plane regarding customs declarations, presence to livestock, etc. Scan the passport, get the slip, present to the agent.
When I departed SLC last week Delta was using facial recognition for boarding. I realize that is not related to GE but it’ll be interesting to see if it’s used when I come back in at the same airport at the GE kiosk.
They probably use data purchased from Google and Facebook.
