Those of you with flights to BER please note that due to technical problems the new airport won't open on June 3rd as scheduled. Your flights will either go to or from Tegel (TXL) or Schönefeld (SXF) as they would have prior to June 3rd as well. Lufthansa and Air Berlin continue from TXL, easyjet, Air Lingus, Germanwings etc. from SXF until further notice, however not until end of the summer, a spokesperson said.

The new opening date will be announced next week. However, the CEO of Air Berlin, largest local airline, has demanded that if it can't be punctual as expected it shouldn't be until the end of their summer schedule, which would be October 31st.
