New Air France cancellations - Paris to Seattle on October 31

Just a heads-up for fall travelers. We were booked on the Paris to Seattle Air France flight on the 31st.

Air France cancelled it over night and sent one of us an email - not both?!?!.

Delta sent nothing so far.

On the Delta site, the flight still looks valid so I could not do anything with it.

When I called in to ask questions, though, Delta agreed it was cancelled and rebooked me onto the Delta flight with no problem.

So check your Air France Paris to Seattle flights again:)

Also - Delta hold time this morning? Three minutes!!!!!!

We had a very similar morning! I woke up to an email from Air France saying our flights from Seattle to Munich in early December were cancelled. They rescheduled us for the next day, but I did not want that, so I called Delta who I booked through. Our original tickets had us connecting at CDG, which I was not thrilled about. It worked out though, and now we are flying on Delta, not AF, and connecting through Atlanta! Much easier! The flights home are still AF and CDG connection, but of course I am hoping that gets cancelled too;)

My hold time was longer, but still only about 15 minutes.

Oh and the Delta agent got all our seats booked for us as well.

Like you, the other two flying with me did not get emails about this, just me.

I was on that flight too, and received the email this morning. My original flight was VCE -CDG-GEG. They left my flight to Paris the same, changed my flight to Seattle for Nov 1, and then left my flight to Spokane on the 31st.
I messaged Delta this morning (almost no wait) and they were able to reschedule me to flights I am happy with.
It's another good headsup to keep an eye on your flights, because like Valerie, Delta still showed the flight as a go.

I am fully expecting and prepared for flight changes this year but what surprises me is that I cannot keep tabs on these flight changes - even though I literally check my Delta App every day. This is my second round of changes in the past few weeks. First, my outbound Air France (ticketed through Delta) flight was cancelled and I got no notice and it did not show up on the Delta site. I used my Air France confirmation to rebook those online.

For this second change, I could not fix anything on either the Air France or the Delta site so I called in.

For people not really tracking their flights, they could easily miss the cancellation, especially since the Air France emails are spotty.

@Leslie - We’re in the same position now - coming in from Italy on the 31st and now flying to SeaTac on the 1st.
So we’ll see you on the Delta flight:)

And bonus - we’re spending Halloween in Paris and I’m thinking about doing something crazy with the evening. There’s a Blue Oyster Cult concert that night that I’m mulling over.:)

@Valerie

Definitely a Blue Oyster Cult concert. What a fun way to spend a night in Paris.

Actually, I am now flying home from London. I am leaving from Ljubjana and was going to take the train to Venice for a day. Was just easier to go with a RT ticket since I was going to London a few days on my way over. And, I'm happy not to have a short layover at CDG like they always want to give you.

Have a great trip.
