Need Suggestion: London to Amsterdam (Fly or Train)

Hi All, We are going to Amsterdam from London and have option to fly or take train. What is the better choice? If flying, we will be flying via British air (51 GBP/pp) plus 13-15 GPB bus/train to Gatwick airport. And will be in Amsterdam around noon. If taking train, it will be via Eurostar then local train (71 Euro/pp) And will be in Amsterdam around 3pm in the afternoon. thanks,
Jenny

...Also factor in in price of the train from Schipol to Centraal Station: 4 euros I would take the train. The Chunnel train and Thalys are very comfortable and stress-free, and when your factor in transit times to/from each airport, check-in, immigration, and security hassles, the train is just as fast.

Always go with the train if travel time is six/seven hours or less. To much hurry up and wait with lots of hassle with security and checked luggage.

Fly, unless you want to consider a Thalys train for travelling between Bruxelles and Amsterdam.

If you haven't already done so, see what the fare is for Gatwick-Amsterdam on easyJet.
