Need some expert train help.

Ok, so I'm going to sound like a complete novice here, but I need some help. I'm still not quite sure whether buying point to point tickets or a railpass would be cheaper. I always thought the railpass was the way to go but that seems not to be the case a lot of times. Here's what I will be doing:

Rome-Naples, Naples-Bari, Bari-Patra, Patra-Athens, Athens-Plovdiv (via Sofia), Plovdiv-Brasov, Brasov-Sighisoara, Sighisoara-Budapest, Budapest-Vienna, Vienna-Prague.

This will be in April-May. I checked out the time-cost map and even with an increase in the fares that he used on there, it still seems to be cheaper.

Any advice?
