Can anyone recommend a hotel in Friedberg which is roughly 40K north of Frankfurt?

www.trivago.com, select US flag to switch the website to English and display rates in US$, then sort outcome by rating and you'll get very realistic recommendations. I've been trusting trivago.com for my business trips for about a year now and not once had a disappointment.

The town website is at www.friedberg.de (surprise). Open the tab labeled "Tourismus", then click on "Gastgeberverzeichnis" below it and then PDF symbol for "Gastgeberverzeichnis 2009". The PDF brochure shows accommodations in town, including prices (2009?). A lot of places have e-mail addresses, some even have websites. The one website I went to had an English option. If you find a place with only an e-mail address, send them an e-mail and see if they respond.

I've used this method, town websites, to get reservations for over 100 nights in 10 years. My experience with this method has been almost totally satisfactory.

The one exception was Hall in Tirol, where the town website did not give email addresses. You had to go through the TI office for reservations. They told me that the room I was reserving had it's own bathroom when, actually, it was across the hall, shared with another room. But there was no one in the other room those two nights, so it was like having my own bathroom.

Breakfast was not up to German standard, but, then, the room was only €20, EZ ÜF.

I appreciate everyone's assistance. Friedberg is a very small town (this is where we are picking up our camper- why we will be there)40K north of Frankfurt. I have found a hotel nearby by the name of the Hotel Dorheimer Hof in Friedberg- Dorheim. Does anyone know it? Would you recommend it?
