Need Help: How to use Eurail pass for online reservation for Swiss rail?

My wife and I are currently in Italy but will be heading to Zermatt, Switzerland in a few days. We purchased a EuRail pass before we left because we have been traveling around the country by train. On TrenItalia's website, it's easy to get a discounted rate for the EuRail pass when making reservations for one of the high-speed trains. I don't see any option for this when trying to book our train from Milan to Zermatt on sbb.ch, though. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this? Do I just need to get the ticket at the station in Milan? This is the first trip to Europe for both of us so we're not quite sure what to do. Thanks for any advice you can give.

I'm curious about Jordan's statement about a discount online with Trentitalia with a Eurail pass. To my knowledge, Eurail discounts don't exist in Italy. In fact, Italy charges a supplemental fee to Eurail pass holders to ride their premium trains.

Some CIS trains from Milano stop in both Brig and Visp. Others only stop in Brig. From either of those points you will take a regional train to Zermatt (no reservations possible) so you don't need to buy anything for that leg. Just hop on any regional train and show your pass.

All you need are seat reservations for either Milano-Brig or Milano-Visp, whichever fits with your departure time from Milano and a workable connection in either Brig or Visp. You can buy them from the ticket machines at Milano Centrale.

Saying that "seat reservation requests for railpass holders cannot be made online" is not completely accurate. If you are traveling totally within Germany or on a direct train between Germany and another country, you can buy seat reservations on the German rail site, www.bahn.de.

But you cannot buy seat reservations on the Trenitalia site, which is why I advised buying them at Milano Centrale for Milano to either Brig or Visp.

Thanks for the tips. We've been able to buy reservations using our eurail pass at the trenitalia website, so I figured we'd be able to do the same for the CIS train. I will just wait until we are at Milano Centrale to take care of the Milano - Visp leg. Thanks again.

And I'm curious about how Jordan was able to buy only seat reservations on the Trenitalia site rather than having to buy them at a station. Jordan, where on the site did you find that option?
