Hi Fellow Travelers,
If I wanted to take a train from Brussels to Paris, what would be the best value for buying a train ticket? Rail Europe, Belgium Railroad, etc are all online options; but would it be cheaper to buy the tickets at the train station in Brussels? Basically, how would a local Belgian do this?
Thanks y'all,
Scott in Carolina
The only direct train service between these cities is available via the Thalys high-speed train. You get the best fares by booking direct at their website www.thalys.com If you book early via the website you can get non-refundable/changeable fares for less than half the standard fare. When the web sites asks you where you live and/or where you will be picking up the tickets say "France", after that you will be able to print your tickets out at home.
Enjoy Thalys! The journey lasts 1h22. Bring a snack.
