I am getting ready to book our train from Munich to Rome and there are 3 different Munich selections for departure that come up. What's the difference between hbf, ost, and Pasing?

The only one you’ll need to be concerned with for Rome is Munich Hauptbanhof (Hbf), Munich’s central station. Long distance routes to Rome are served via this station. Are you using Deutsche Bahn's website to book - www.bahn.de?
