My wife and I are traveling from Munich to Salzburg for a couple of nights then on to Trento Italy all by train. Once were in Trento we will pick up a car for the rest of our trip in Italy.
I'm confused with the train situation and the costs for getting train tickets from Munich-Salzburg and Then Salzburg-Trento. When I search online I get some pretty expensive prices or unable to purchase the tickets over the internet. Whats the best way to get these secured we leave on the 3rd of July?

The Bahn will sell you tickets online for €43 pP, with reservations, from Freilassing (in Germany, just across the border from Salzburg), to Trento.

Thanks! Just to clarify I can get the tickets once I'm in Munich to Salzberg at the Station.

Still having problems figuring out if I should purchase tickets now or when I get to Germany and Austria. I tried make the purchase from Austria to Italy using www.bahn.de but they do not sale tickets for anything going to Italy.
