Any ideas how long it takes to clear luggage and immigration control at the Munich airport. We arrive about 7:40AM and are trying to plan connections at Munich Hbf.

I always use a carry-on bag, so I don't have to wait at the carousel for my luggage. Customs is always a walk through for someone with "nothing to d'clare". Immigration can take more or less time depending on how many big aircraft have just landed, but I'm generally at the Munich airport S-Bahn station in under an hour. The train into Munich Hbf takes about 40 min, so figure you can be in the Hbf in an hour and a half after landing. However, I've been on flights that were an hour late getting in. That's the big variable. Where are you going when you get to the Hbf?

I don't know if this can be any solace to you but MUC is consistently rated the best and most efficient hub in Europe.
